Make your own by describing it.

Riffgame is an app for iPhone, iPad and Android where you play 3D games made by other people and make your own by describing it. An AI agent builds the game, usually in 10 to 20 minutes, and gives it a link anyone can play in a browser.

Free to download, free to play, no ads. Making games uses riffs (credits): new accounts get 40 free, once per device, enough for one new game.

How it works

How do you make a game with Riffgame?

Describe the game, check the plan, and an AI agent builds it. Then play it, change it by chatting, and share the link.

  1. Describe it

Type your idea in a sentence, like “Zombie survival in a shopping mall”, or tap one of the app's ideas. Write it in your own language. Have a bigger plan? Paste up to 12,000 characters: a design doc, a feature list or a story.

Riffgame app, Create tab: a box to describe your game, the price “New game · 40 riffs”, a Build it button, and ideas to tap such as “Night city car chase”
  2. Check the plan

Riffgame shows the plan: title, genre, goal, controls, camera and look. Tap anything to change it. You see the price before you start (a new game is 40 riffs). Then tap Build it.

  3. The AI builds it

An AI agent writes the game, tests that it loads on a phone-sized screen, polishes the details and publishes it. A new game usually takes 10 to 20 minutes. You see a first look while it works, and the build keeps going if you leave the app.

Tap Play. Want more? Describe a change, like “add a boss fight” or “make it night”. Each change makes a new version, and you can still play the old ones. Then share the link.

Remix

Can you start from someone else's game?

Yes. Anyone can remix the starter games made by the Riffgame team for 20 riffs. With Pro, you can also remix games by other players, if their creator allows it.

  • A remix is your own copy in Studio. Change anything by describing it.
  • If you're 18 or older, it is posted to Riffgame like any new game (Pro can keep it private).
  • Your first change is included in the 20 riffs.
  • A remix is usually ready in a few minutes.
  • The original creator stays credited, and their prompt stays private.
  • Creators decide: “Allow remixes” can be switched off for any game.
City Coin Rush: a character on a sunny low-poly street, with a coin counter at 0 of 30 and a 1:30 timer

City Coin Rush

Built from this idea:

A bright low-poly city block: run around with a joystick and jump, collect 30 gold coins scattered on streets, ramps and rooftops before a 90-second timer ends. Show coins left and time on screen. Fun, readable, cheerful.
Play
Storm Island: a player on a palm-tree beach, with health, a drone counter and a storm timer

Storm Island

Built from this idea:

Island battle: you land on a small tropical island with a blaster and defeat 10 roaming robot drones before a storm circle shrinks. Health bar, drones left and storm timer on screen.
Play
Mall Night: a character in an empty shopping mall at night, with health, a wave counter and a shoot button

Mall Night

Built from this idea:

Survive 3 waves of slow, goofy cartoon zombies in an empty shopping mall at night. Joystick to move, tap to shoot, pick up health packs. Show wave number and health.
Play

These three starter games are still version 1: each was built from the idea shown, with no follow-up changes.

  • No web or desktop version. You create in the Riffgame app for iPhone, iPad or Android.
  • No casino or gambling games. They are refused.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Something else? Email [email protected].

What is Riffgame?

Riffgame is an app for iPhone, iPad and Android where you play 3D games made by other people and make your own by describing it. An AI agent builds the game, usually in 10 to 20 minutes, and gives it a link anyone can play in a browser. It's free to download, playing is free, and there are no ads.

What is a riff?

Riffs are what you spend to make things in Riffgame. A new game costs 40 riffs, a remix 20 and a change 15. Playing is always free. New accounts get 40 free riffs once per device; after that, riffs come from riff packs or Pro. See Riffgame pricing.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe the game in words, and the AI writes the code. You never have to look at it.

Do I need to sign up?

No. You start as a guest with a username made for you. To keep your games, riffs and purchases when you change phones, link your Google account, or your Apple account on iPhone and iPad. Riffgame never posts to your Apple or Google account.

How is Riffgame different from Google Playground?

Both turn a written idea into a game you can share with a link. Google Playground, launched by Google Labs on 7 October 2026, is an experimental website, open at launch to people 18 and up in the United States, and it can make 2D or 3D and multiplayer games. Riffgame is a released app for iPhone, iPad and Android, for ages 13 and up worldwide in 33 languages, and it makes 3D single-player games. See the side-by-side comparison.

Can I make games on a computer?

Riffgame has no web or desktop version. You make games in the Riffgame app for iPhone, iPad and Android. The games you make also play in a browser on a computer.

Can I change my game after it's built?

Yes. Open the game and describe a change, like “add a boss fight” or “make it night”. A change costs 15 riffs and usually takes 5 to 10 minutes. Every version is kept, and you can still play older ones in Studio → Versions.

What happens if a build fails or I cancel it?

You get your riffs back automatically. A cancelled build stops right away and nothing is published.

Does Pro make builds faster? Is there a free trial?

No, and no. Pro builds use the same queue as everyone else's. With Pro you can run up to 3 builds at once instead of 1, and you get riffs every week or month. There is no free trial. You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

Can I export my game's code?

With Pro, yes, for games you made yourself. You get the game's source files (React Three Fiber and TypeScript) as a ZIP. It's the game's code, not a ready-to-run project, so running it outside Riffgame needs your own setup. Remixes of other players' games can't be exported.

Can I use characters or names from other games?

No. Make your own ideas. Game titles must not use another game's or brand's name. Titles are checked against a list of well-known names, and copies of other companies' games are removed when they're reported. The community guidelines have the details.

Which languages does Riffgame support?

The app is available in 33 languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Arabic, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Turkish. Write your idea in your own language, and the plan and the AI's replies come back in that language. This website is in English.

Which AI builds the games? Is my idea private?

Your prompt is never shown to other players. If you're 18 or older, the game itself is public by default (Pro can keep it private). Games are built with AI from DeepSeek, which processes them on servers in China. It receives your idea, the plan, the code and the title, never your name, email address or payment details. Riffgame does not use your prompts or games to train AI models. If someone remixes your game, they get a copy of the game, never your prompt. Please leave personal information out of your ideas.
