Delete your Riffgame account
Last updated: 18 May 2026
You can permanently delete your Riffgame account at any time. This page explains the two ways to do it, exactly which data is removed, and what (if anything) we keep.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open Riffgame.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right of the Home screen to open Settings.
- Make sure you are signed in with Apple or Google. The Delete button only appears for linked accounts — anonymous sessions are automatically discarded when you uninstall the app.
- Tap Delete account (red button under "Sign out").
- Confirm Delete in the dialog.
Deletion completes within a few seconds. The app then drops you back to a fresh anonymous session so you can keep using Riffgame if you want.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
Don't have the app installed any more, or can't sign in? Email [email protected] from the email address linked to your Apple or Google sign-in and include:
- The subject line "Account deletion request".
- The email address linked to your Apple ID or Google account.
- (Optional) Your Riffgame user ID, if you remember it.
We process email requests within 30 days. You'll receive a confirmation reply once your account and data have been removed.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your Firebase Authentication record (your Apple/Google link, email, display name).
- All games you have created, including every saved version of each game.
- All chat messages between you and the Riffgame agent.
- Your riff balance, subscription status, and usage history stored against your user ID.
- Your OneSignal push-notification subscription tied to this account.
What we keep (and why)
The following data is retained after account deletion, because we need it for legal, security, or accounting reasons:
- App Store / Google Play purchase receipts — kept by Apple and Google according to their own policies. Riffgame cannot delete these on your behalf; contact Apple or Google directly.
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics — page views and crash counts that no longer identify you.
- Server logs — request logs containing your IP address are retained for up to 30 days for security/abuse monitoring and then automatically purged.
- Backups — encrypted Firestore backups may contain a copy of your data for up to 35 days before they expire on rotation.
Cancelling your subscription separately
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. To cancel:
- iOS: iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Riffgame Pro → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Riffgame → Cancel.
