Delete your Riffgame account

You can delete your Riffgame account and its data at any time, in the app or by email. You do not need to have the app installed to ask for deletion.

Option 1: in the app

1. Open Riffgame and tap the Me tab.
2. Scroll down to Settings and tap Delete account.
3. Type DELETE and confirm.

Deletion starts immediately. Your games stop being served within minutes. Afterwards the app keeps working on this phone as a new guest, with no games, profile or username, and the one-time free riffs do not come back. If you used an older version of the app (1.x), update it first or use option 2.

Option 2: by email (no app needed)

Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Riffgame account", and either:

• send it from the Apple or Google email address you linked to Riffgame, or
• include your account ID. It is shown at the bottom of the Me tab ("ID …"); tap it to copy the full ID.

If you never linked an account and no longer have the app, tell us roughly when you used Riffgame and the titles of games you made, and we will do our best to find the account. We confirm by email and delete within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• All games you made, every saved version, and their play links on games.riffgame.com.
• Your prompts, the AI's plans and replies, and your build history.
• Your public profile, username and avatar, and your public games (including from Home, Explore and riffgame.com/games).
• Your likes and follows (both directions), blocks, Activity feed and settings.
• Your riff balance. An active Pro subscription is not cancelled, so its plan stays on the account and Pro keeps working until you cancel it in the store (see below).
• Your push-notification registration. The phone's notification token is deleted and a new one is made for the guest that continues.
• The link between your Riffgame account and your Apple or Google sign-in, and the e-mail address attached to it (not if the account is banned, see below).
• Any "Entered the wrong year?" request, with its note.

What we keep, and for how long

• Riff and purchase records (ledger): kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, together with the ID of each store purchase (product and riff count only), so a repeated purchase message cannot credit the account twice.
• A hashed device ID: kept so the one-time free riffs cannot be claimed again on the same device. It is stored with your account ID and holds no name or email address.
• A deletion record (account ID, date and what was removed): kept so we can show the deletion was done. If you delete more than once, the first record is kept and later ones are added to it.
• Rate-limit counters (account ID, the kind of action and when it was last used, no content): kept so the limits keep working.
• Reports you sent, reports about your content and moderation decisions: kept while needed to keep the community safe. The text of your prompts is removed from them.
• If the account was banned: the ban stays, and so does the sign-in link, so that deleting the account cannot be used to get around it.
• If the account is known to be under 13: we keep only that fact, where it came from (the year typed or our team) and when, so the account stays blocked from building and posting.
• The record of changes to the account's age group (old and new group, where the change came from, when and, for a change by our team, who made it and the reason code; no note, no birth year): kept so we can show how the account was handled.
• Server logs (can include IP addresses): deleted automatically after 30 days.
• Analytics and crash data held by PostHog and Google from before the deletion: kept under their retention settings. After you delete in the app, new analytics use a new anonymous ID that is not linked to the old one. Ask us in the same email and we will delete the analytics data linked to your account.
• Remixes other people made of your public games before you deleted your account stay with them.
• Purchase receipts kept by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot delete these.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You can delete any single game, for free, from its menu in Studio. Its play link stops working and, if it was public, it is removed from Riffgame.

Cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. To cancel:

• iOS: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Riffgame Pro → Cancel.
• Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Riffgame → Cancel.
