This page sums up how Riffgame works for players, creators and parents. The full rules are in the Privacy policy, the Terms of use and the Community guidelines.
Who Riffgame is for
- You must be 13 or older, or older where your country's law requires it (for example 16 in some EU countries). Under 18, use Riffgame with a parent's or guardian's permission.
- On the US stores, Riffgame is rated 13+ on the App Store and Teen on Google Play. Stores in other countries can rate it differently.
- The app asks “What year were you born?” once. Riffgame keeps only your age group on its servers, never the year, and never shows it on your profile.
- This is a year you type, not an ID check.
- Accounts that say they are under 13 can't build, post, like or follow. They can delete their data in the app.
For parents and guardians
Riffgame is for teens and adults, not for children under 13. Teens can make and play games, but their games are shared by link only and can't be remixed by others, and there is no chat between users. Riffgame learns a person's age from the birth year typed in the app. Our team changes it only after checking evidence, for example a parent or guardian confirming by email. If you believe a child under 13 is using Riffgame, email [email protected] and we will delete the account. If you have another question about an account, email the same address.
Teens (13 to 17)
- Teens' games stay private after they're built.
- If a teen shares a game, it is shared by link only. It never appears in Explore or on Home, and other people can't remix it.
- Link-only sharing is free for teens.
What other people can see
- Your username (made for you, or chosen with Pro), your avatar, your follower and like counts, and your public games.
- If you're 18 or older, your new games and remixes are public by default: on Home, in Explore and search, on your profile and on riffgame.com/games, with their play, like and remix counts, and they can appear in search engines. Pro can keep them private.
- When you like, follow or remix, that creator sees your username in their Activity.
- Avatars come from a set of pictures. There are no photo uploads, and game covers are screenshots of the game.
- There are no comments, direct messages, chat or bios between users.
What's not allowed
The community guidelines say what is and isn't allowed. Casino and gambling games are refused. Game titles must not use another game's or brand's name. Titles are checked against a list of well-known names, and copies of other companies' games are removed when they're reported.

How games are checked
- Every prompt is checked automatically, and so is every public title.
- Posts go live right away. People review reported games, and some reports hide a game at once while it is reviewed.
Reporting and blocking
- You can report any game, profile or AI result from inside the app, and you can block any user.
- We aim to review reports within 24 hours. The creator isn't told who reported.
- You can also email [email protected] with a link.
What the AI receives
- When you describe, change, remix or post a game, your text, the AI's plan, and the game's code and title go to Riffgame's AI provider, DeepSeek. DeepSeek processes them on servers in the People's Republic of China.
- The AI provider never receives your name, email address or payment details.
- Riffgame does not use your prompts or games to train AI models.
- Please leave personal information out of your ideas.
Data, ads and tracking
- Riffgame has no ads and uses no advertising IDs. We don't sell personal data or track you across other apps.
- Analytics and crash reports start only after you tap Agree & get started. You can switch them off in Me → Settings → Share usage analytics and crash reports. They are always off for under-13s.
- Riffgame doesn't collect your contacts, photos, precise location, microphone or camera.
- Games open in a browser view (Safari View Controller on iOS, Chrome Custom Tabs on Android). They get no access to your account or your device's features.
Deleting things
- Delete a game: in Studio, open the game's menu and choose Delete. It's free.
- Delete your account: Me → Settings → Delete account, then type DELETE. Without the app, email [email protected]. Details: Delete account.
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
